The former director of the Project on Adolescent Literacy at the University of North Carolina's Center for Early Adolescence, Dr. Wasser is also the co-author of "Adolescent Literacy: What Works and Why," case studies of successful school- and community-based literacy programs for young adolescents (Garland, 1993).
Cathy Miles Grant: Senior Research Associate  PHOTO Cathy Miles Grant is the professional development and the elementary mathematics specialist for the Hanau Model Schools Partnership. As a senior research associate at TERC she has worked in teachers' professional development for projects in math, science and technology. She is the primary author of the Literacy in a Science Context (LISC) curriculum, a technology-enhanced, inquiry-based curriculum in human physiology for the upper elementary grades. Prior to this, Oren worked as a teacher's aide at the Argonner Elementary School, and provided direct support for the Model Schools project for the last two years.
Kevin McGillivray: Educational Technologist Kevin has taught high school music classes in Oregon Public Schools and in DoDDS for the past 30 years. For the past 9 years he has taught MIDI, computer basic, and multimedia workshops for DoDDS teachers in Europe. In the Fall of 1996, Kevin moved to a newly-created position of Educational Technologist for the Hanau Schools "Model Schools" initiative.
